Which airport should I use to fly in for the Sedona Writer’s Summit?
Your choice of airport will depend on your travel preferences and flight availability:
1) Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX): This is the most commonly used airport for travelers heading to Sedona. Located about 2 hours away from Sedona. Offers a wide range of domestic and international flights.
Airport Website: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
2) Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG): A closer option,
situated approximately 45 minutes from Sedona. Smaller than Phoenix Sky Harbor
and may have limited flight options.
Airport Website: Flagstaff Pulliam Airport
While Sedona does have its own airport, Sedona Airport (SEZ), it is relatively small with no direct flights. It's primarily used for general aviation and not typically suitable for commercial travel needs.
Please note that your flight is not included in your investment of the Sedona Writer’s Summit. We recommend checking flight availability and schedules well in advance to ensure a smooth journey to the summit.
What are my transport options from the airport to the summit, and how do I get around during the event in Sedona?
For your journey to Sedona, consider these primary airport options, each offering different transportation methods to Sedona:
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport: Shuttle Transportation: Approximate Cost: is about $53-76 per person each way.
Shuttle Options:
Groome Transportation Service:
Contact: 928-350-8466
Contact: 490-710-3441
Important Shuttle Information from Phoenix Sky Harbor:
There are two shuttle routes to Sedona:
1) Route to Village of Oak Creek: Choose if your accommodation
is in this area.
2) Route to Sedona Central: Ideal for stays in central Sedona.
Rental Cars:
Available for those preferring a private drive. Consider renting a car for flexibility, especially for our land journeys and excursions, which require your own transportation within Sedona.
Flagstaff Pulliam Airport: Has shuttle services to Sedona readily available. However, I would consider booking ahead.
Again, renting a car might be beneficial for attending various activities and tours during your stay.
Considerations for Land Journeys and Excursions:
While shuttles provide convenient airport transfers, renting a car is highly recommended for ease of travel during your stay, particularly to participate in various land journeys and excursions throughout Sedona.
Ensure to book the correct shuttle route based on your accommodation location for a smooth arrival experience.

Where do I get my Red Rock Parking Pass and how much does it cost?
Parking passes are required for all participants in our wilderness excursions but are not included with your Summit pass. For your
convenience and to cover the duration of our activities, we recommend purchasing the weekly parking pass for $15.
This pass provides seven consecutive days of access and is ideal given the nature of our excursions. Daily parking passes are also
available for $5 at each trailhead, valid for access to multiple trails on the same day. However, considering the schedule and locations of our activities,
the weekly pass offers the best value and flexibility for your experience.
When attending activities at Crescent Moon Park, a parking fee of $15 per car applies, which can also be purchased upon entering the park.
Securing your parking passes are essential to fully engage in the Summit's scheduled outdoor activities and writing excursions.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
If you cancel more than 45 days before the summit start date, you are eligible for a 50% refund, minus a $200 deposit. Please note that complimentary bonus passes included with your registration of another program are not transferable. If you wish to avoid the cancellation fee, you may find someone to take your place, but the bonus passes cannot be transferred to another attendee.
No refunds or bonus pass reschedules will be issued for cancellations made within 45 days of the summit start date.
If the summit is canceled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, you are entitled to a full refund of all funds paid. If cancellation occurs and you have received a complimentary bonus pass, it will be valid for the next summit.
If Covid-19 protocols, such as a lockdown, necessitate rescheduling, you may transfer your funds to the new dates or opt for a full refund.
We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance. You may consider our suggested provider, Travel Guard, which offers a range of policy options.
In the case of Covid-19 restrictions or personal contraction of the virus, please verify with your travel insurance provider regarding coverage specifics, as this may impact refunds and losses.
Please note, if a participant contracts Covid-19 and cannot attend, no refund will be provided by Soul Writer’s Academy, LLC; however, your travel insurance may cover these losses, depending on their policy. It is crucial to confirm Covid-19 coverage with your insurance provider.
